Commissioned by the event agency Satis&Fy, this installation provided a playful, interactive focal point for the Zalando Partner Day. The brief required a high-end, on-brand visual quality that emphasized garments and movement. To achieve this, I developed a generative algorithm in Touchdesigner using a depth sensor to filter out the background and trace the outlines of participants' clothes. By detecting color variations in their attire, the system wrapped organic, fluid patterns around each person—reminiscent of a lava lamp—and connected those lines between individuals to symbolize community and mutual inspiration through appearance.
The setup functioned as a digital mirror, encouraging hundreds of associates to move their bodies and explore the resulting aesthetics. In a day filled with high-focus workshops and talks, the installation served as a vital social bridge, helping users lose themselves in the moment, engage in spontaneous dance, and interact with colleagues. The project highlighted my ability to work independently within a professional, high-stakes environment while collaborating closely with on-site technicians. This experience reinforced the value of well-defined roles, the necessity of technical redundancy, and the power of "play" to glide between intense corporate sessions and social celebration.
