Portals of Reminiscence lived on the long, winding LED panel at a tunnel entrance on Ebertplatz in Cologne. Before the evening, I hung around the square and recorded how people actually use it — the pacing, the chats, the weird little encounters.
Those recordings became the raw material. I ran them through generative tools until the square felt familiar and strange at the same time — less documentary, more aura. Passersby got a soft mirror of a place that usually argues with itself.
Solo work. Sensitive site, public audience, one LED ribbon doing a lot of emotional lifting.
